In questi giorni la Showa University in Giappone ha lanciato il suo secondo modello di paziente robot, Showa Hanako 2, prototipo pensatoi per far esercitare odontoiatri e apprendisti dentisti in nomarli cure come cura della carie, sbiancamento e operazioni più complesse come impianti ai denti, all on four o implantologia a carico immediato.
Il robot Showa Hanako 2 è stato realizzato da Tmsuk, ovvero lo stesso produttore delle bambole gonfiabili, ed assomiglia molto di più ad un umano rispetto al suo predecessore.
Le grandi novità del robot? Sicuramente la maggiore libertà di movimento di braccia e lingua, che consentono di simulare situazioni come soffocamento o scuotimento del capo. Completano il tutto una liscia e morbida pelle in silicone e altre azioni come lo starnuto e la tosse.
Alcune indiscrezioni dicono che il nuovo prototipo di robot sarà venduto dalla Dental Manufacturing Yoshida.
